Plymouth boss Peter Reid will be without Kari Arnason for the home clash against Rochdale.
The 28-year-old midfielder picked up his 10th booking of the season during the second half of Tuesday night's 1-1 draw with Carlisle and will begin a two-match ban.
Arnason also suffered a groin injury shortly after his booking and would have been a major doubt for the Dale clash anyway.
Anton Peterlin could be recalled to the starting line-up in his absence after setting up Yannick Bolasie's equaliser with an 84th-minute free-kick.
Defender Karl Duguid looks set to continue at left-back at the expense of Jim Paterson after impressing against the Cumbrians in midweek, while goalkeeper Romain Larrieu will continue to keep David Button on the bench.
Rochdale boss Keith Hill will assess the fitness of defender Joe Widdowson.
Widdowson missed Tuesday`s 1-0 home win over Notts County due to illness and Hill will hope to have him available to face the Pilgrims.
Robbie Williams made his first start for the club in Widdowson`s absence against the Magpies in midweek and could now retain his starting role.
Hill has no other injury or suspension concerns and will be reluctant to make changes after Tuesday`s success ended a dismal run of three straight defeats.
Hill has urged his players to follow the example of midfielder Gary Jones and defender Craig Dawson, saying: "We need the other players to step up to the mark."
