Kenny Dalglish has reportedly told Spurs manager Harry Redknapp that Liverpool will out bid Tottenham at any price for Blackpool captain Charlie Adam.
Spurs have been linked to the midfielder on many occasions, and according to the Daily Mirror, chief Tottenham scout Ian Bloomfield watched Adam play in the Blackburn match on the weekend after the 25 year old returned from a two match ban.
But there was another attendant at the game that day, according to sources – none other than King Kenny Dalglish, down from Liverpool to see how Adam stacked up against the opposition. The Blackpool skipper impressed on all fronts, scoring both goals in a 2-2 draw and keeping Blackpool safe, for the moment at least, from the relegation zone.
Liverpool reportedly had a £9 million offer rejected for Adam on transfer deadline day by Blackpool, and Dalglish’s interest in the star has not waned since. Should Liverpool offer Adam a figure higher than £9 million, along with the possibility of Europa and Champions League qualification, the Balckpool star is poised to take it.
