Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish's top transfer target is Spanish winger Xabi Prieto, according to The Sun.
The Reds are lining up bids for number of Europe's finest wingers, and at £10 million, Prieto is seen as the ideal candidate.
The 27-year-old has played over 200 games for his club Real Sociedad and is seen as the man to provide crosses for Andy Carroll, who has been devoid of service since his move to Merseyside.
The Anfield club have been linked with a host of wingers this year, with Aston Villa's Ashley Young and Blackpool's Charlie Adam both strongly linked with moves to Liverpool.
The club have a history of drafting in Spanish talent successfully to Anfield with the likes of Fernando Torres, Pepe Reina and Xabi Alonso all having made their name in the red of Liverpool.
A move for Prieto comes after Dalglish's hopes to tempting Taye Taiwo to the club took a blow, with AC Milan now favourites to land the Marseille man ahead of the five-time European Cup winners.
