Former Liverpool hero Jamie Redknapp has applauded Luis Suarez’s ability to go from strength to strength at Liverpool, despite only signing for the club in the latest January transfer window.
"Luis Suarez is an Anfield No 7 legend in the making,” Redknapp wrote in his blog for the Daily Mail.
"Forget about Fernando Torres taking time to adjust after a big move, Suarez has made it look easy since arriving from Ajax.
"He reminds me of Carlos Tevez; he's a real pocket rocket, who plays with a big smile on his face.
"I think he'll prove to be a great acquisition for the Barclays Premier League, not just Liverpool."
Liverpool are currently sixth on the Barclays Premier League table, and are looking to challenge for fifth place and seal a Europa qualification spot for next season. Suarez has certainly been a contributor to the recent success of Liverpool under manager Kenny Dalglish, with the Uruguayan international putting in exemplary performances in important games against Manchester United and Sunderland.
While Fernando Torres and Andy Carroll were given most of the attention by the media during January's transfer period, Suarez still went for a pretty hefty price of a reported £23 million.
