England’s left back Ashley Cole and defender Michael Dawson aren’t worried about too much for the weekend clash with Wales, but they are more than a little concerned about Wales’ Gareth Bale factor.
Cole has faced Bale on many occasions in the Barclays Premier League, and knows first hand how lethal the Welshman is when playing for Tottenham. And with Bale aged just 21, Cole says he will only get better.
Cole told FATV: "Bale is fantastic. Last season and this season he has shown how good he is.
"It shows in football you just need confidence.
"At one time, he didn't have much confidence as he wasn't playing as much as he would have liked.
"Then he starts to play and now he is proving how good he is."
Meanwhile, Dawson plays alongside Bale at White Hart Lane, and is thankful not to have to play against the Tottenham gem. He told reporters of Bale’s performances for Spurs this season, "In the Premier League, in the Champions League, Gareth has been unbelievable and that's credit to him.
"He's had to work hard but people don't stop talking about him everywhere he goes and credit to him, he deserves it.
"When we play against him, we're certainly going to have to be prepared for him."
