Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas hopes to return "stronger than ever" from his latest injury lay-off to lead the Gunners battle for the Barclays Premier League title.
Fabregas has not featured since the Champions League defeat by former club Barcelona in the Nou Camp on March 8 but hopes to be back in action to face Blackburn on April 2, when Arsenal will be out to close the five-point gap on leaders Manchester United and salvage something from their campaign.
Speaking during a live video stream on Twitter, the Gunners skipper said: "My injury is getting better. I started running on Monday and everything is getting better."
He added: "I needed time, because it has been a weird season for me with injuries and I just want to make it right.
"I want to come back stronger than ever and hopefully fitter than ever so it wont happen again.
"Hopefully you will see me play against Blackburn if I am fit."
