Napoli’s Ezequiel Lavezzi looks set for a move to Manchester City to replace Mario Balotelli, with Roberto Mancini fed up at the City striker's antics, according to Goal Italia.
Balotelli has become particularly troubled over the last few weeks, with the striker walking off the pitch because he claimed to be allergic to grass, and receiving a red card in the Europa League clash with Dinamo Kiev which left Mancini seething and claiming Balotelli cost City their European place.
A transfer in the summer for Balotteli appears all but decided, and Manchester City will be on the lookout for a striker who can keep their head down and score the goals Manchester City so badly need to challenge for trophies next season.
Lavezzi, an Argentian international, has shone for Napoli this season, scoring nine goals and contributing to the side’s standing at third position on the Serie A table.
Lately, Lavezzi has been clashing with Napoli over contractual negotiations, according to reports.
