Should it be on? Should it be postponed? Why can't they reschedule?
WWE's decision to go ahead with WrestleMania this weekend raised some eyebrows, pardon the pun, and whether you were for it or against it, one thing is for sure, you must applaud every superstar that was involved this weekend.
WrestleMania without the fans just didn't sound special or feel special, yet here we are, one day removed from night two of the showcase, and we can look back at it with fondness and with a real sense of 'yeah, that was pretty special'.
Okay at times it felt completely weird to watch, and no pops or fan reaction truly did spoil a few 'WrestleMania moments', but aside from that, and taking that out of the picture, what a job WWE did putting on one hell of a show.
WrestleMania 36 will live long, LONG in the memory and for a number of reasons. The coronavirus WrestleMania. The one with no fans in attendance. The one where it went on for two nights. But, and maybe most importantly, it will be remembered for some truly epic moments.
It must have been one hell of a tough job for the WWE superstars to perform to their maximum with no crowd to feed off, and with no one to perform to live. Hell, it's like a musical theatre production going ahead with no one in the audience. Weird, right?
From night one of the Showcase of the Immortals we had the likes of The Undertaker and AJ Styles absolutely tearing it down in the Boneyard Match. We had Braun Strowman winning the Universal Championship, albeit in horrible circumstances.
Not only that, but we saw two stunning matches in Seth Rollins vs Kevin Owens and the triple threat ladder match between John Morrison, Jimmy Uso and Kofi Kingston. Night one was good, but night two was even better.
Fast forward 24 hours and we were treated yet again with some masterful work inside and outside the ring.
Edge vs Randy Orton. Bray Wyatt vs John Cena. Drew McIntyre vs Brock Lesnar. Three unbelievable matches in their own right and in their own way.
There was, of course, more from night two, but those three were the real show-stealers.
Considering we are living in worrying times right now, with seemingly no end in sight, we must thank WWE and the superstars for putting on a show that made us forget the real world.
For 48 hours, we could forget the word 'coronavirus', we could forget about work issues. We could just, forget.
WWE rightly or wrongly went ahead with WrestleMania this weekend, and they deserve credit for one hell of a show.
