Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly looking at selling United star Ji-Sung Park in the summer transfer period, in order to free up more cash to splash on younger players.

The Manchester Evening News is reporting that Park’s sale is part of a goal set by Ferguson to lower the average age of the United squad, with the manager planning on leaving Old Trafford in a fresh and rebuilt state.

Park’s contract expires with Manchester United in 2012, and talks are reportedly stalling on the 30 year old signing a new deal with the Red Devils.

According to sources, Ferguson is reportedly chasing young midfielders Jack Rodwell and Jordan Henderson, and won’t be needing Park’s services with the youngsters to be the future stars for United.

Park has not been a big feature for Ferguson this season, with the South Korean international on leave for a month for the Asia Cup this year, and Park injured ever since. Park started on the bench for the Bolton game the weekend before the international break, and spent the entire 90 minutes there.
