Juventus target United goal machine

In a move that will shock Manchester United fans, striker Dimitar Berbatov is considering a move to Juventus after growing frustrated at starting most games on the bench, according to reports.

Gazzetta dello Sport has claimed that Juventus have had their eye on Berbatov over the last few seasons, and are encouraged by Berbatov only starting two of the last nine Manchester United games, in their quest to sign the 30 year old.

The Manchester United striker was linked to Juventus particularly in the January transfer period, however according to the Telegraph, Ferguson refused to do any deal.

Berbatov is United’s leading goal scorer so far this season, and also the leading goal scorer in the Barclays Premier League, with 20 league goals.

Sir Alex Ferguson was caught on camera in recent weeks apparently laughing at the striker for sulking as he sat on the bench at the start of yet another match.

With this in mind, speculation is mounting that whether or not Ferguson wants to sell Berbatov, a summer exit from Manchester United for the striker might be on the cards.
