Sir Alex Ferguson has filled Manchester United fans with excitement after announcing some star transfers will definitely take place in the summer, despite speculation that the debts of the club would limit signings.
Ferguson confirmed that there are at least two players names on his mind, and with Manchester United offering Champions League glory, and a top flight side that can fight for multiple trophies, not many signing targets will be able to refuse any offer that Ferguson and Manchester United put on the table.
“We have certain targets in mind and I think two or three will be fulfilled,” Ferguson told reporters.
“There's no question of that.
“The Glazer family have always been supportive of our desires to improve the team.”
Ferguson made his intentions to build on a younger squad at United clear, fanning speculation that young England trio Ashley Young, Jack Rodwell and Jordan Henderson are high on the Manchester United manager’s summer wish list.
“What we are good at is bringing young players to the club, like Chicharito,” Ferguson said.
“We're good at that and I don't think we should change what we're good at. When we identify the right young players, that's the way we'll go.”
