Real Sociedad winger Xabi Prieto has rubbished reports linking him with a move to Liverpool, after the Reds had appeared on the verge of clinching his signature, reports AS.
The 27-year-old has spent his entire career at Sociedad and reports had suggested that he could be close to agreeing a deal to the Premier League.
But the £10 million rated midfielder has denied any rumours of a move to Anfield.
He told the Spanish newspaper AS: "There is nothing to what has been published.
"Liverpool are a very good team, but I've always said I'm happy here."
Kenny Dalglish is expected to make a winger his top priority in the summer transfer window, as the Liverpool boss searches for a player a genuine crossing ability to provide service to new signing Andy Carroll.
Liverpool's search for a winger has seen them linked with Ashley Young, Charlie Adam, Adam Johnson and Eden Hazard in the past, and speculation may swell around that quartet with Prieto having ruled himself out of a move.
