Toon thump beleaguered Wolves

Jonas Gutierrez rounded off a vital 4-1 Barclays Premier League victory for Newcastle with a superb injury-time goal to plunge Wolves deeper into relegation trouble.

Skipper Kevin Nolan had set the ball rolling after 22 minutes with his 12th goal of the season, and Ameobi added a 45th-minute header before Lovenkrands made it 3-0 five minutes after the restart.

The visitors pulled a goal back through Sylvan Ebanks-Blake with 32 minutes remaining, but Gutierrez cemented the win with a fine solo goal at the death.
