Chelsea star striker Didier Drogba is considering a move to the American MLS, with ex Arsenal star Thierry Henry helping to convince the Ivory Coast international to relocate, according to the News of the World.

With the striker no longer a definite in Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti’s first squad, Drogba is said to be considering the change of scenery in order to get guaranteed game time once more.

While Drogba has been thought by fans as something of a God at Chelsea, the recent signing of Fernando Torres has meant Ancelotti is spoilt for choice with who he places up front.

Should Drogba head to America, Thierry Henry’s American club New York Red Bulls in the running for the striker's signature, and believe that Henry’s relationship with Drogba might get them over the line.

Drogba scored in the Barclays Premier League on the weekend, netting Chelsea's only goal in a 1-1 draw with Stoke City.
