Arsenal defender Johan Djourou could be fit to face Liverpool after dislocating his shoulder last month, according to the Daily Mail.
The Swiss centre-back was expected to be out until the end of the season after picking up the injury after a collision with team-mate Bacary Sagna against Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-final.
But with the Gunners facing a crucial period in their bid to win their first trophy for six years, and their first Barclays Premier League title for seven years, Djourou is ready to hand the north Londoners a massive boost with a return against Liverpool on April 17th.
As United don't feature in the league that weekend, with their FA Cup commitments diverting their attention from the title race, Arsenal can close the gap on Sir Alex Ferguson's men ahead of their May 1st meeting at The Emirates Stadium.
If Arsene Wenger's side still retain hope of claiming the league title, the meeting with Kenny Dalglish's re-vitalised Liverpool will go some way to determining how successful their challenge can be.
Albeit in defeat, Djourou stared for the Gunners in the Nou Camp against Barcelona, where with 11-men, he'd kept his side on course for progression to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, until Robin Van Persie's sending off helped tipped the scales in the Catalan's favour.
Djourou's return co-insides with Thomas Vermaelen being ruled out until the end of the season and Sebastien Squillaci and Laurent Koscielny's torrid run of form at the heart of Arsenal's defence.
The 24-year-old has made 31 appearances for Wenger's side this season, scoring his first goal for the club in February's draw with Newcastle United.
