Hamburg midfielder Piotr Trochowki has rejected a move to Arsenal to join Sevilla this summer.
The 27-year-old is out of contract this summer, and despite the advances of the north-london outfit, will join La Liga side Sevilla at the end of the season.
Arsenal have been tracking the German international since last summer, where he was rumoured to be joining Arsene Wenger's side for £13 million.
But Sevilla have jumped the gun in the race for the German, with Arsenal now left scratching around for another midfield target.
Trochowski would have provided a welcome addition to Arsenal, with Andrei Arshavin rumoured to be leaving the club this summer.
The Gunners have been linked with Eden Hazard already as they aim to build a squad capable of challenging for honours next season.
