Manchester United’s on loan forward Nicky Ajose proved his worth to the top flight club with two goals on the weekend for Bury in a 4-2 win against Northampton.
"This was a huge win and it was great to score twice but it's important we keep our feet on the ground,” Ajose said of the important victory.
Ajose currently has 11 goals so far this season for Bury, which is a large feat for the 19 year old, considering he headed back to Manchester United for five weeks during the season to recover from a knee injury.
“I'd have got 20 goals minimum if I'd stayed fit!” the wonderkid said.
Sir Alex Ferguson will no doubt be keeping a close eye on the youngster, with the Manchester United manager making his intentions to bring more youth into the squad very clear.
Ajose has a loan deal with Bury until June 30, but with the way he is performing for the League Two side, which currently sit third on the table and are poised for automatic promotion, Ajose could be featuring in a fresh young Manchester United squad next season.
