Emnes charged by FA

Published Add your comment

Middlesbrough striker Marvin Emnes has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association following an incident during Saturday's win at Sheffield United.

The 22-year-old Dutchman, who has until 6pm on Tuesday to respond to the charge, was not booked by referee Andy Woolmer in Boro's 2-1 win.

Emnes scored an 89th-minute winner for Tony Mowbray's side to take his tally for the season to five after scoring in successive matches.
