Borussia Dortmund star defender Neven Sobotic’s agent Stephen Kelly has made it clear he knows about interest from big English and Spanish clubs, but insists no formal offers have been put forward yet.
"Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United? He's a good defender and it is normal to talk a lot about him, but I can assure you that I have not had contact with any team,” Kelly told Calciomercato.it.
"He has a contract until 2014 and it would still take a very important offer to convince Borussia to sell."
Subotic has starred for Borussia since he moved there in 2008, and has also become a regular for his homeland Serbia, despite his tender age of 22.
Naturally, both Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in the star as they both try to lower the average age of their squads. Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly believes that Subotic’s connection to Manchester United captain and Serbian teammate Nemanja Vidic might get Untied over the line with the signing.
Meanwhile, Arsenal was thrown into the mix in line with Arsene Wenger’s obsession with bringing in young players and applying his famous youth policy.
Barcelona have also been connected with the starlet, and should Subotic not want to head for Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, or just England in general, the Spanish giants were looking likely to secure his signature.
