The agent of Udinese goalkeeper Samir Handanovic claims his client deserves a move to the Barclays Premier League in the summer - with Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool waiting in the wings.

Handanovic, 26, is the Slovenian no.1 and has enjoyed an impressive season in Serie A and is thought to be on the radar of a number of premier European clubs.

His representative Federico Pastorello maintains the belief the Handanovic will be a target for teams in England, and suggests United, Arsenal and Liverpool - as well as Tottenham and Aston Villa - are all likely to be interested.

“He is doing really well and has had a fantastic season. I think we will try to find something for him in the summer because he deserves it to be honest. He has been fantastic,” Pastorello told

“He was brilliant at the World Cup. I look at the Premier League and I think why not? I think there will be lots of movement with goalkeepers in the Premier League – we are aware a number of sides are in the market.

“Arsenal will be looking, Manchester United will be looking, Aston Villa as well, and Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. There are many big clubs who could be in the market so it could be interesting.

“I think Handanovic will be a target for a number of top clubs in the summer.”

Whether or not Liverpool intend to bring Handanovic - or any other goalkeeper for that matter - to Anfield in the summer remains to be seen, but United and Arsenal are known to be after reinforcements in that area.

Sir Alex Ferguson is on the lookout for a new top stopper with Edwin Van der Sar set to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season, and Ateltico Madrid's David De Gea has been tipped to succeed him.

Arsenal meanwhile, are keen to bring bolster their ranks after injuries to Lukasz Fabianski and Wojciech Szczęsny required Arsene Wenger to draft in former Gunners first choice Jens Lehmann as emergency cover.
