Arsenal are preparing a summer move for Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila - also a reported target for Liverpool and Manchester United.
Despite the alleged interest in the 20-year-old from England, his Ligue 1 employers have revealed no club has yet to make a formal bid for his services.
A Rennes source said: "We know there are many club who want M'Vila but only a big offer will tempt us to sell him. We have not received any official bids."
However, according to talkSPORT, Arsenal are 'poised' to table an offer for the £15 million-rated enforcer having sent scouts to watch him in action.
The People previously reported that Sir Alex Ferguson had also been to monitor the Frenchman at close quarters, as had Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli.
Reports in the French media also surfaced in January that Liverpool had made an official offer of £9 million for M'Vila, and the Anfield club are expected to reignite their interest in the summer.
Like Arsenal, Liverpool are known to be keen to add a combative midfielder to their ranks during the transfer window - and the France international would be a good fit for either side, something he readily admits.
"Which league do I watch on TV? The Premier League! It matches my game," he previously told L'Equipe.
"It is a warrior's game, where you have to show plenty of fighting spirit.
"I like to watch Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, but also Manchester City.
"I'm a big fan of the English state of mind and tackling.
"You can't leave for a big club to be a substitute. I prefer to stay at my club to improve. I want to work more on the attacking aspect of my game - scoring and assisting."
