Although Claudio Marchisio is flattered by the reported interest in his signature fro Manchester United, the Juventus star is currently focused on life in Turin.

Speculation has been rife in recent weeks that the “Little Prince" could make a summer move to Manchester, but the 25-year-old won't have his head turned any reports suggesting a move away from the Stadio Olimpico.

“It’s nice because they [Manchester United] are a great team but I am a Juve player and I can’t think of anything better than to finish the season wearing this jersey," Marchisio told Gazetta Dello Sport.

“I hope to continue here for as long as possible.”

According to Italian newspaper Leggo, United have been showing serious interest in the Italian as Juve stall over the offer of a new contract offer. Marchisio's representatives have allegedly been trying to commence talks with the Serie A club for over a year and United are now said to be ready to pounce.

Click Manchester reports that the Italy international is valued at around £15 million and Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to bring him to Old Trafford in order to bolster his midfield.

A combative midfielder, Marchisio has been touted by FourFourTwo as an ideal long-term replacement for Paul Scholes as the United legend comes towards the end of his career at Old Trafford.
