Real Madrid have joined the race to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Nuri Sahin with Liverpool also interested, according to talkSPORT.
The 22-year-old has stared for Dortmund during their dominating season in the Bundesliga, where they're strolling to the league title.
His form has been so impressive that Madrid and Liverpool are both interested in the player, with the Spanish side reportedly holding the upper hand.
The Turk is the youngest player to have turned out and scored for his country and has scored seven goals for his club this season.
Although he's not the winger the club crave, Sahin is describe as a player with plenty of industry on the ball and would fit ably into a midfield with Steven Gerrard and Raul Meireles.
Such is Dortmund's dominance at the top, that Sahin would be guaranteed Champions League football, and while that would be a certainty with Jose Mourinho's Madrid, the case wouldn't be the same with Liverpool.
Therefore it may be down to manager Kenny Dalglish, who is expected to be given a permanent deal at the end of the season, to convince the £13 million rated man that Liverpool would be his ideal destination.
