Spurs skipper issues rallying cry
Although not promising that Tottenham will overturn a four goal deficit against Real Madrid tonight, Michael Dawson says Spurs will give the White Hart Lane faithful something to be proud of.
The north Londoners have already beaten Inter Milan and seen off AC Milan to progress to the quarter-final of the Champions League, and the Spurs skipper is looking forward to another famous European night.
“Never say never. We want to put on a good performance and take it to them," said Dawson.
“Our fans have been fantastic all season and have been on a great journey as well, so we want to try and put on a performance for them and ourselves.
"The Champions League has been our reward from last year in the Premier League, we've had some great trips, some great results and hopefully there will be another one tonight.
“It’s an uphill battle, there’s no hiding that. But it’s White Hart Lane, the fans will be in full voice, and a couple of early goals could make them nervous, so we’ll see were that takes us.
“We are playing against a top class team but the boys will give it their all.”
