Mamadou Sakho has sought to quash rumours that he is leaving Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain for Arsenal or Liverpool, despite speculation surrounding possible offers from both English top flight clubs.
'I am focused on PSG at the moment,' Sakho told reporters.
'I am reading nothing into the speculation.'
Sakho has garnered interest from both Liverpool and Arsenal after starring for the French outfit this season, with the defender being nicknamed Kirikou by fans and media for his crazy hair styles. His versatility is reportedly a plus for Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish, who is looking to build on the wings as well as in the back of the Liverpool squad.
Sakho’s tender age of 22 is attractive to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who with his famous youth policy, believes he can only improve on the young star should Sakho decide to head Arsenal’s way.
Sakho admitted to being aware of offers by clubs such as Liverpool and Arsenal, but insisted he was planning on staying in France for the long haul.
'If I do well then clubs will look at me, but I plan to stay with PSG for a long time.'
