Andy Welsh struck five minutes from time as 10-man Yeovil held Oldham to a 1-1 draw at Huish Park.

The Glovers failed muster a shot in the first half and after Chris Taylor gave the Latics a 17th-minute lead the visitors looked comfortable.

Skipper Taylor produced a clinical finish from the edge of the penalty area after being set up by Reuben Reid.

Yeovil raised their game in the second half but they were reduced to 10 men when defender Luke Ayling was shown a second yellow card after 64 minutes for a foul on Cedric Evina.

Glovers midfielder Max Ehmer headed against a post after 62 minutes, but the home side were not to be denied and the busy John Obika set up Welsh, who finish from an acute angle to deny Paul Dickov's side.
