Wayne Rooney is expected to return to the fold for Manchester United against Newcastle on Tuesday night, having completed his two-match suspension.
The England striker was banned by the FA after swearing down a camera lens having just completed a hat-trick against West Ham, and was forced to miss United's league encounter with Fulham and FA Cup semi-final loss against Manchester City.
According to the Mirror, Rooney will start in place of Dimitar Berbatov at St James' Park as United look to extend their lead at the summit of the Barclays Premier League to nine points.
Also in contention for a starting berth is Ryan Giggs, who was unexpectedly left out of the squad that fell to a 1-0 defeat at Wembley on Saturday.
Giggs has been tipped to replace Paul Scholes in the centre of midfield, with the latter now serving a three-match ban after being red-carded against City for a high challenge on Pablo Zabaleta.
Jonny Evans is also available for Sir Alex Ferguson for Tuesday's trip to the north east after serving a suspension for a tackle on Bolton's Stuart Holden, which led to a season-ending injury for the American midfielder.
