Liverpool are close to securing the signings of Ashley Young and Jose Enrique to help solve their left-hand side problem, reports the Guardian.
The dupe have been heavily linked with a move away from their respective clubs in recent weeks, and it seems that the Merseysiders have got their men.
Young, who has also been attracting attention from Manchester United as well as Liverpool, has refused to discuss his future until the end of the season after enduring a difficult year at Villa Park.
Enrique meanwhile, a shining light in Newcastle United's side, was last week linked with the club after former Liverpool assistant manager Phil Thompson claimed the deal was done.
Young is rated at £18 million, while the Spanish full-back is expect to move to Liverpool for £15 million.
Both players would solve a problem left sided position for The Reds, who are looking for players to service £35 million striker Andy Carroll.
Kenny Dalglish, who has put a winger at the top of his transfer wish list, has also been looking at Xabi Prieto and Charlie Adam.
