Jones hints at Sheffield Wednesday extension

Sheffield Wednesday's on-loan defender Rob Jones has hinted he wants to extend his stay at Hillsborough beyond the end of the season.

The 31-year-old has made four appearances for the Owls since arriving from Scunthorpe last month until May, scoring in the recent home defeat to Brentford.

Jones, 6ft 7in, said: "I've enjoyed every second I've been here and have loved playing at Hillsborough."

He added: "Being a Sheffield Wednesday boyhood fan, it doesn't get much better than that for me.

"But I'm contracted to Scunthorpe United so we'll have to see what will happen.

"There are still four more games to go and after that, my future will be decided in the summer."
