Udinese star left back Pablo Armero is reportedly now at the top of Kenny Dalglish’s summer transfer wish list, after fielding rookie Jack Robinson in Sunday’s all important match up with Arsenal.

While interest from Liverpool in the Serie A star has been documented, The Daily Mail is reporting that Dalglish has become so desperate to sign Armero that he has sent scouts on a mad dash to Italy to find out as much information as possible about the 24 year old.

The Colombian international caught Liverpool’s eye with his pace and passing ability. Armero moved to the Serie A last year after a spell for Brazilian club Palmeiras, and talkSport have put the star’s worth at £9 million.

Should Liverpool decide to purchase Armero, Dalglish will hopefully move a step closer towards solving a decade long left back problem at the club.

Liverpool are also reportedly hoping to purchase Newcastle left back Jose Enrique, so that when Liverpool play in big games they can turn to experience rather than rookies for answers.
