Emmanuel Eboue's error against Liverpool has all but secured his Arsenal exit - according to reports - while Tottenham are said to be preparing a bid.

Metro suggests the Ivory Coast international is set to be part of a summer cull at the Emirates Stadium, and has fate was sealed after gifting Liverpool a late penalty - and a point - last Sunday.

The Mirror has claimed that Tottenham are monitoring the 27-year-old defender, who has now been tipped to make a contentious switch to White Hart Lane at the end of the season.

Should he move across north London, Eboue will be following in the footsteps of former Arsenal teammate William Gallas, who signed for Spurs after being released by the Gunners at the end of last season.

A versatile defender, Eboue can operate as a wing-back or in midfield and could provide Spurs with the reinforcement they reportedly crave.

According to talkSPORT, Tottenham are after cover at right-back with Alan Hutton set to leave White Hart Lane, and Spurs have also been linked with Chilean youngster Bryan Carrasco.
