Rafael Van der Vaart has put a call out to Tottenham players to win every game until the end of the season, as Spurs push for a second Champions League birth in the history of the club.
Tottenham are currently fifth on the Barclays Premier League table, but have been inconsistent in their form of late.
While Spurs have not lost a game in their last six home games, they have only won two of their last six away. And with three draws in their last four games, building up as many of the remaining 21 points available will put Tottenham in the hot seat for Champions League qualification.
"We just want to win every game between now and the end of the season - and see if that takes us into the top four,” Van der Vaart said.
Fourth placed Manchester City are a mere four points ahead of Tottenham, and the two are due to face each other in their third last game of the season. Should Tottenham pick up a game over City during their next four match ups, they could well produce a repeat of last season and knock City out of Champions League contention.
While Van der Vaart has only scored two goals in the second half of Tottenham’s season, the playmaker is concentrating on the team getting ahead as a whole.
"I'm not really worried about the lack of goals,” Van der Vaart said.
