Southend manager Paul Sturrock will have Bilel Mohsni in his squad for the home clash with Stevenage.

The French defender has missed the last two games as he served a one-game suspension for his dismissal at Accrington on April 2 and then a second as he recovered from a broken nose.

However, the 23-year-old is expected to be among the substitutes, with the Shrimpers defence having only conceded one goal in his absence.

Midfielder Lee Sawyer, fresh from signing a one-year contract extension, could also return to contention following an ankle ligament injury which has kept him out of action since March 18.

The 21-year-old was originally expected to miss the rest of the season but has made a rapid recovery.

Sturrock has no other injury or suspension problems to contend with for the clash.

Stevenage manager Graham Westley could have Michael Bostwick available for the trip.

The 22-year-old midfielder missed the 2-2 draw with Aldershot last Saturday after suffering a back injury at Stockport the previous week.

However, he could be in line to face the Shrimpers after being pencilled in for a return to training ahead of the clash.

Westley has no fresh injury or suspension concerns but has options available should he decide to make changes.

Striker Byron Harrison impressed after stepping off the bench against the Shots - getting a touch on Luke Foster's equalising goal - and he is pushing for a recall, while midfielder Stacy Long pressed his claims for a start by scoring for the reserves in midweek.

Midfielders David Bridges and Joel Byrom, winger Peter Winn and striker Chris Beardsley are also available.
