Cherries too strong for Pirates

Two late goals from substitutes Mathieu Baudry and Steve Fletcher gave Bournemouth a 2-1 victory at home to Bristol Rovers which keeps the Cherries in the final npower League One play-off berth.

Leyton Orient stayed within three points of the play-off places after a Jonathan Tehoue goal, the visitors' only effort on target during the game, gave them a 1-0 win at Carlisle.

Walsall suffered late heartbreak against Oldham as an 88th minute Jason Lowe strike gave the Latics a 1-1 draw after full-back Tom Williams' goal had looked good enough to give 20th-placed Walsall some breathing room above the drop zone.

Notts County edged closer to survival with a 1-1 draw at home to Brentford, but it could have been even better for the Magpies as Lee Hughes' 82nd-minute penalty looked to have given them a crucial win only for Jeffrey Schlupp to equalise in stoppage time.

.A last gasp Craig Mackail-Smith goal salvaged a point for fourth-placed Peterborough as they drew 2-2 at home to Yeovil.

A Paul Wotton penalty had put Yeovil ahead before a flurry of late goals as Kelvin Langmead equalised in the 87th minute only for Andrew Tutte to put the visitors back in front almost immediately before Mackail-Smith's effort.

Charlton ended any lingering play-off hopes for Rochdale after recording a 3-1 win over Keith Hill's side. Therry Racon, Dean Parrett and Nathan Eccleston all got on the scoresheet for Charlton with Marcus Holness scoring the consolation.

Tranmere recorded an impressive 4-0 win over Exeter with goals coming from Michael Kay, Enoch Showumni and a double from Lucas Akins.
