Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez is facing a race against time to be fit for City's FA Cup final with Stoke City.
The Argentine forward limped out of his side's league defeat to Liverpool earlier this month with a hamstring strain and subsequently missed the semi-final with Manchester United.
Having spent time receiving treatment in Milan, Tevez has flown back to Manchester for further work on the injury.
Reports suggest the chances of Tevez making the Wembley final are 50-50 and City manager Roberto Mancini has made it clear the forward has to prove his fitness against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League four days earlier.
Any return to the first team would be a huge boost to City as Tevez has scored 22 goals this season for the club as they close in on a Champions League spot.
