Brentford interim manager Nicky Forster will not make any decisions on the club's out-of-contract players until he knows whether he will be given the job on a permanent basis.

The Griffin Park board are expected to review the managerial situation in the summer, with former West Brom boss Roberto di Matteo having been linked with the role.

"I've said to the club I don't think it's fair on me to make decisions on lads' futures if I'm not the one to take the club forward," he said.

Striker Lewis Grabban is one of a number of players trying to secure a new deal and Forster added: "It's unfair for me to make a decision for Lewis or any other player. It's not fair on me to judge whether someone should have employment or not.

"I know exactly what I would do with all the players who are out of contract."
