Highly rated Celta Vigo midfielder Denis Suarez has emerged as a summer transfer target for Chelsea.

Suarez, who shares his name with new Liverpool strike sensation Luis, is also a target for La Liga leaders Barcelona and Manchester City.

His agent, Felix Gende moved quickly to state that any move away from Los Celestes will be done with the approval and blessing of the Spanish club.

"We'd never do anything behind the back of Celta," he said.

"He (Suarez) and his parents are very grateful to the club and any team that wants him must first get in touch with Celta."

Initial reports of Chelsea's surprise interest in Suarez may have alarmed Liverpool fans, many of whom are still reeling from the loss of former Reds idol Fernando Torres, who swapped Anfield for Stamford Bridge in the recent January transfer window.

However, the return of Kenny Dalglish and the acquisition of Liverpool's new found strike partnership, Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, seems to have rejuvenated the Reds fortunes.

As they continue to push up the Barclays Premier League table, Liverpool now find themselves with an outside chance of Europa League qualification.

Chelsea meanwhile, are looking to ring the changes, with Carlo Ancelotti tasked by Blues owner Roman Abramovich to freshen up an ageing Stamford Bridge squad by bringing in some exciting young talent.

Suarez certainly falls into that category, with the 17-year-old star tipped for a bright future. The Blues will do well to secure his long-term future by capturing his signature to get the wheels in motion for a thrilling Chelsea future.
