Magaye Gueye is hoping he can start a French revolution at Everton by forming a formidable forward partnership with compatriot Louis Saha.
The 20-year-old has been rewarded for his impressive form in the reserves with four successive Barclays Premier League appearances during the month of April, including two starts.
Injuries to Saha, Mikel Arteta, Marouane Fellaini and Victor Anichebe have perhaps given Gueye more of an opportunity in David Moyes' first-team than initially expected, but he has shown enough so far to suggest the future is bright for Everton next season.
The former Strasbourg youngster is already looking ahead to the new campaign - and in particular linking-up with a fully fit Saha.
"One day I will play alongside Louis Saha, he's injured at the moment but that's just football," Gueye told the official Everton website.
"But maybe next season I will get the chance, he is my favourite player at Everton, he is a fantastic finisher and a great striker.
"He helped me adapt to life in England and to playing football in the Premier League."
