Dempsey eyes Europe

Fulham's new record Premier League goalscorer Clint Dempsey is setting his sights on another European run with The Whites.

The American scored twice to help Mark Hughes' side all but secure their Premier League survival as they overcame Bolton Wanderers at Craven Cottage.

And after last year's run, where the club reached the Europa League final, Dempsey wants another taste.

"I'd like to think we can do what we've done in the past, that we could be fighting in Europe. I don't think last season was a fluke. We have the quality here to do it again," he said.

"I was fired up to get goals against Bolton because I hadn't scored in three games and I was starting to itch a little bit, starting to feel the pressure that I needed to perform.

"So it was good to be a part of the team's success and get the three points that takes us into the top half of the table."
