Athletico Madrid forward Diego Forlan is subject to interest from Besiktas, who have made a big for the Argentine, report

After scoring just eight goals in 29 La Liga games this season, Forlan's career at the Vicente Calderon is coming to an end.

And despite Tottenham Hotspur being rumoured to be interested, Forlan could make a move to Turkey.

"Forlan's transfer fee is €12 million. He earns €4.5m a year. The move is only a fantasy under these circumstances," Beskitas board member Serdar Adail told Lig TV.

"We've made an offer convenient to our situation. If our conditions are accepted, then we can sign him. There's no more news about that."

Spurs have been linked with Forlan since bidding for the forward in the January transfer window.

Harry Redknapp is keen to add to his attacking ranks with Robbie Keane and Roman Pavlyuchenko's future uncertain at Tottenham.

As well as Forlan, Spurs are interested in brining Sergio Aguero to the club in a shock move from Madrid.
