Portsmouth midfielder Hayden Mullins wants a promotion push next season providing they can strengthen their squad.

Pompey threatened to make the play-offs this term until their threadbare squad finally ran out of steam over the last couple of months. They are safely in mid-table but, with boss Steve Cotterill regularly unable to fill his substitutes' bench, reinforcements are needed.

Mullins, who has played in every game except one, due to a suspension, said: "If we can strengthen the squad a bit over the summer then I'm sure we'll be chasing a top-six spot next year."
