Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to spend £80 million this summer to spruce up Carlo Ancelotti's squad ahead of the new season, reports The Sun.
Although Ancelotti's side closed the gap at the top of the Barclays Premier League to six points, the Italian manager looks set to go trophies this season after winning the league and cup double in his first season.
The club's ageing squad is in dire need of re-vamping and the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Gareth Bale and Gregory van der Wiel are high on the Russian's shopping list in deals that could cost Chelsea as much as £80 million.
After a double success last season, Chelsea have faltered in their search for trophies during Ancelotti's second term at the club, falling well behind in the title race, being knocked out of the Champions League by Manchester United and the FA Cup by Everton.
As well as the trio, Chelsea could also be looking to draft in Wesley Sneijder, Thomas Mulller, Adam Johnson, Matt Jarvis, Ashyley Young, Jack Rodwell, Marouane Fellaini, Luka Modric and Andrey Arshavin.
