Liverpool winger Dirk Kuyt has praised Luis Suarez’s ability to settle into the culture at Anfield so quickly, as the Uruguayan continues to star in English football.
"There are few players to come from abroad and settle like he has done," Kuyt told the official Liverpool website.
"It has been said before, but we speak in Dutch together on the pitch. But Luis's English is not bad either and that has helped him settle quickly.”
Kuyt insisted that he has been able to work to Suarez’s strengths at Liverpool, and vice versa. And Kuyt said the two have been able to work well together especially thanks to the tactics of Liverpool caretaker manager Kenny Dalglish.
"Although we are different players and offer different skills to the team, we are also both hard workers. Kenny has emphasised to us that he wants us to press high up the pitch and that has suited us."
Suarez has scored three goals in ten appearances for Liverpool since he moved to the Barclays Premier League from Ajax in January.
The young star has not just had an impact in front of goal for Liverpool; Suarez has also been crucial in creating goals for the Kop, in particular in the 3-1 defeat of Manchester United.
