Manchester United hero Gary Neville believes that the most likely successor for Sir Alex Ferguson will be Jose Mourinho, if and when the United manager chooses to retire.
"I really like this manager,” Neville said of Mourinho.
“I think he's a fantastic manager. His team get results and he does what he has to do to get results.
"This guy has won European Cups. He's a serial winner. He knows how to win games.
"There are many good managers out there and it won't be just him on the cards [for the Manchester United managerial position], I am sure."
Mourinho has often made his admiration of Manchester United clear, with the Red Devils on the cusp of achieving a record 19th title and being crowned the most successful club in the history of the Barclays Premier League.
Some have speculated that the Real Madrid manager is holding out for an opportunity to move back to England and manage Manchester United when Ferguson retires, though in the short term, any sign of slowing down for Ferguson is looking very unlikely.
