Roma are preparing to hijack Chelsea and Manchester United's pursuit of Argentine wonderkid Javier Pastore with a €30 million offer.
The Premier League duo were lining up a bid for the Palermo forward this summer, but the Italian side have jumped the gun in the race for the 21-year-old.
Chelsea and United are still to make their move for Pastore, but are expected to offer far more than the €30 million demanded, with Barcelona and Manchester City also interested.
After falling away in the title race after defeat to United on Sunday, Chelsea are reportedly keen to re-shape their squad around £50 million striker Fernando Torres.
United meanwhile, who are expected to lose Dimitar Berbatov this summer after the Bulgarian fell out of favour at Old Trafford, will be looking to bolster their ranks to retain their standing at the top of English football ahead of Chelsea.
