Spurs invited to grand opening

Published Add your comment

Tottenham Hotspur will play Brighton and Hove Albion in a pre-season friendly to mark the opening of The Seagulls' new stadium, the American Express Community Stadium.

The match will see Brighton manager Gus Poyet, and assistant Mauricio Taricco taking on the club for whom they amassed over 200 appearances for.

The South American duo have recently guided Brighton to the League One title and their match with Spurs, who have starred in the Champions League this season, is the start of a new era in their new 22,000 seater stadium.

While the newly promoted side are yet to finalise their pre-season plans, Tottenham are set to travel to South Africa before their date with Brighton.

The club have organised three dates against Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and a third game against either of the aforementioned opponents in the Vodacom Challenge Final.
