Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has praised his Spurs side and claims they will be back in the Champions League, despite losing to Manchester City.
Peter Crouch's own goal against City on Tuesday evening has consigned Tottenham to the Europa League, if they can win their final two league games and usurp fifth placed Liverpool.
And after reaching the last eight of the Champions League and coming so close in the race for fourth, Redknapp has only praise for his players.
"I look at tonight's performance will great pride I thought we were excellent tonight," he said.
"We played well at Chelsea last week and got done by two dubious goals and we've come here tonight and I thought we played ever so well.
"All I learn is that you've got to keep improving if you want to get in the Champions League and to be fair we've just had a bad run at the wrong time but not bad performances.
"But I take a lot of pride away from this season, the way we've performed, the last eight of the Champions League and we've played fantastic football.
"I've enjoyed watching us play and that's the most important thing to me I love the way we play football. With a little bit of tweaking in the summer we'll come back again and try and qualify for the Champions League."
