Liverpool and Spurs striker target Hulk has opened the door to a potential England switch this summer.
The Porto forward has long been linked with a move to the Barclays Premier League, although clubs across Europe are believed to be monitoring the progress of the 22-goal striker in the Portuguese league this season.
Newcastle are also thought to be monitoring the progress, with both the Magpies and Liverpool planning summer moves for the player according to talkSPORT.
Harry Redknapp made moves to bring the player to White Hart Lane in January, according to reports, although the Spurs boss was rebuffed by the Dragões for the Brazilian international.
However, a Barclays Premier League switch could now be on the cards, giving hope to suitors like Liverpool that they may be able to land one of the top marksmen on the continent.
"The Premier League is one of the biggest tournaments in the world and I want to play where people fight for titles and where there is an ambitious plan for the future," the 24-year-old told GloboEsporte in Brazil.
"I like the Premier League, the Bundesliga, and Serie A, so I can not choose a particular championship, but my choice will be based around the club rather than the league."
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish, who signed a long-term contract at Anfield yesterday, is known to be in the transfer market for a striker and is reportedly creating a transfer wishlist alongside director of football Damien Comolli.
Romelu Lukaku, Mario Gomez and Ezequiel Lavezzi have all been mentioned as potential targets, and with the backing of owners Fenway Sports Group it appears likely that Liverpool will make a move for another forward to add to the ranks alongside January signings Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez.
