Manchester City are going to make a shock move for Chelsea target Kaka in the summer, according to the Metro.
Kaka is reportedly becoming particularly unsettled at Real Madrid after suffering an injury during the season, and on returning, losing his starting position in the squad to German midfielder Mesut Oezil.
While Chelsea were favourites to land the star, who was rated by News of the World at £50 million, Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has placed Kaka on a ‘shortlist’ of possible transfers for the summer period, with the list also including Manchester United target Wesley Sneijder.
City tried to coax Kaka from AC Milan in 2009, but the Brazillian star turned down their record £100 million offer.
But now that Manchester City have qualified for the Champions League, they can offer just as many opportunities as Chelsea, and appear to have a bottomless pit of funds at their disposal.
Recently Kaka’s mother fueled speculation that he was moving to London and possibly Chelsea, writing on her twitter account, "Next season we will be in London spreading the word of God.
"We will be there from August."
