Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez says the prospect of overhauling Manchester United is enough motivation to keep him at Eastlands.

The Argentine forward made a remarkable comeback from injury to play from the start during City's FA Cup final victory over Stoke City as they picked up their first piece of silverware for 35 years.

And Tevez is keen to contest for the title as The Blues look to a new era.

"Winning the title is a great motivation for me to stay, it would make me so happy," he said.

"It is what we all want and need - although now it's time to celebrate winning the Cup.

"Here we are trying to build a team to win trophies including the Premier League and we are focusing on that.

"But we remember very well that flag at Old Trafford which taunts City.

"Now it makes me very happy that they will have to take it down."
